Violinist and recording artist Lynnette Thredgold is a masterful musician and entertainer who has performed professionally for over 25 years, bringing music to life for her audiences. Classically trained, Lynnette plays a range of music—pop, classical, Latin, blues, and jazz—that defies classification in a single genre. Her music has been described as passionate, energetic, fresh, stirring, and hauntingly beautiful.
Professional Career
Lynnette’s professional music career, starting at the age of 15, has included memberships in professional orchestras in Colorado, Idaho, Texas, and Utah. She holds a Master of Music degree in violin performance from the University of Utah. She has performed with Mannheim Steamroller, Debbie Reynolds, Bill Cosby, the Moody Blues, Wayne Newton, Josh Groban, and Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant and Jimmy Page.
A Style All Her Own
To create her unique style, Lynnette commissions composers to orchestrate, arrange, or write new compositions for her shows. Chuck Penington of Mannheim Steamroller, John Bisharat (orchestrator for John Tesh), Jeffrey Price and Alden Terry are a few of the talented professionals she has collaborated with. Her backup band (available both live and in recorded accompaniment) consists of piano, bass, drums, harp, reeds, and flute.
Recordings
Lynnette has co-produced three CDs, along with Mannheim Steamroller’s Chuck Penington, including Amazing Grace and Cool Energy. Her latest CD, Dancing with the Red Priest, features Air Supply’s Jed Moss performing Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.”
